NAATI CCL (Credentialled Community Language test) certifies that you can interpret accurately between English and a community language at a level useful in Australian society. Passing it adds 5 PR points to your SkillSelect EOI for the 189, 190 and 491 visas. The credential never expires.
Punjabi, Hindi, Tamil, Urdu, Mandarin, Filipino (Tagalog), Bengali, Nepali, Indonesian, Burmese. Every language has at least one native-speaker mentor who has passed NAATI CCL themselves. If your language isn't listed, contact us — we may have a partner mentor.
Two dialogues, each scored against four criteria: Comprehension, Translation Accuracy, Language Quality, and Delivery. Each dialogue is out of 45. You need 29+ per dialogue AND 63+ overall to pass. The exam takes ~20 minutes total.
Candidates with strong community language fluency reach pass-ready in 4–6 weeks with our methodology. First-timers who haven't actively used their community language in years may need 8–12 weeks. Our free diagnostic mock gives a personalised estimate on day one.
